Dorgu, capable of playing anywhere on the left flank, is expected to fill the gap left by Alejandro Garnacho. Garnacho is reportedly set to join Serie A leaders managed by Antonio Conte, with the Italian club readying an improved bid for the Argentine. Chelsea and Napoli had shown interest in Dorgu, but United appear to have moved swiftly to close the deal.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Brazilian winger Antony has completed a loan move to Real Betis. Antony has struggled for minutes under Amorim this season, failing to start a single match.
Romano tweeted: "Antony to Real Betis, here we go! Verbal agreement in place. Man United will cover most of his wages. There’s no buy clause, and he will return in June.”
A unique clause in the deal aims to ensure United benefit from Antony’s performances during his loan spell.
United are exploring striking options to address their offensive struggles. Ivan Toney, now playing for Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, has emerged as a potential target. Toney’s form—four goals in 12 matches—has been modest, but journalist Ben Jacobs believes United might consider him for a summer move or even as a surprise addition before January 2026.
Jacobs remarked: “United have tracked Toney in the past. While nothing is imminent, his situation could become significant in the coming transfer windows.”
United remain interested in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray. Journalist Kagan Dursun has revealed discussions have taken place, but Osimhen seems committed to staying with the Turkish club until the season ends.
Meanwhile, French forward Randal Kolo Muani has re-emerged as an option. PSG’s mishandling of his proposed loan move to Juventus has reportedly left the door open for United.
United’s January activity highlights Ruben Amorim’s intent to reshape the squad for immediate and long-term success. With Antony departing, Dorgu close to signing, and targets like Toney, Osimhen, and Kolo Muani under consideration, United fans can anticipate further movement before the window closes.
