£50million star now prepared to agree huge deal with Liverpool – Report

Liverpool's flying start to the season under new manager Arne Slot has been fueled by the red-hot form of Colombian winger Luis Diaz, who has been linked to a string of top clubs in the summer.

The 27-year-old's impressive displays have not only earned him a spot as the Reds' top scorer with five goals and an assist in five league appearances, but also caught the attention of Liverpool's hierarchy, who are now set to reward him with a massive new deal.

According to TEAMtalk, the Anfield club will open formal talks with Diaz soon to extend his contract, which currently runs until 2027. The deal is expected to be a significant improvement, with reports suggesting that it will run until 2029, keeping the speedy winger at the club for another two years.

Diaz's future at Liverpool was uncertain in the summer, with several top clubs linked to his signature. However, the Reds were determined to keep him and even considered making a move for Anthony Gordon as a potential replacement. Thankfully, Newcastle United decided to hold on to their playmaker, allowing Diaz to remain at Anfield.

The former Porto star has made a remarkable recovery from a serious knee injury that kept him out for several months last season. His return to form has been nothing short of phenomenal, earning him a spot as one of the top attackers in the Premier League.

With his prime years still ahead of him, it's no surprise that Liverpool are eager to tie him down to a new deal. The Colombian international has already become an integral part of Jürgen Klopp's team, and his continued form will be crucial in the Reds' push for top honors this season.
